On 8th November we presented the latest event around ‘Engaging with Schools’. This event began with an overview from Prof Kristyan Spelman-Miller, APVC for Education for Humanities and Social Sciences, followed by a keynote presentation from Amy Sanders, Strategy and Impact Manager for Public Engagement at the Wellcome Trust. Her talk was entitles Top tips for producing resources schools will use’ Learning from UK-wide engagement initiatives: The Crunch, In the Zone and Darwin
Presentations from Peter Gaul, Head of Hawthorne’s Free School, Bootle and Paul Taylor, Deputy Head of Bellerive FCJ Catholic College preceded the ‘What Teachers Want’ panel, where the Heads and Pete Doyle, Widening Participation and Outreach Manager for the University answered questions.
In out practical sessions, presentations by Matthew Fitzjohn, Maggie Williams and Bruce Gibson were followed by further questions.
