Queen’s Anniversary Prize presented to the Department of Molecular and Clinical Pharmacology, ITM

The Department of Molecular and Clinical Pharmacology, in the Institute of Translational Medicine, is presented with the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Higher Education in a ceremony held at Buckingham Palace.

Professor Dame Janet Beer, Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor David MacEwan, Head of the University’s Department of Molecular and Clinical Pharmacology and Lord Derby, President of Council, have been presented with the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Higher Education on behalf of the University in a ceremony held at Buckingham Palace [22 February].

The prize, the highest accolade for any academic institution, was awarded by HRH Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall in recognition of Liverpool’s pioneering work to improve the safety and effectiveness of medicines.
