On Wednesday 7 December 2022 the Institute of Irish Studies welcomed Professor Philippe Sands, KC (Professor of Law at University College London and Samuel and Judith Pisar Visiting Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, President of English PEN ) to deliver the 2022 Annual Seamus Heaney Lecture.
The event included readings by Justine Mitchell of poems by Seamus Heaney, Eavan Boland and Mariana Camelio.
